A 13th century fortress exists at Gjirokastra that was extended by Ali Pasha in 1811. Presently, it houses the National Museum of Weapons. There is a good collection of medieval armory, shot down US reconnaissance aircraft among others. There are many mineral springs to be seen at this place.
