Dajti National Park: this is one of the visited of the national reserves and forms a significant part of ecotourism and wildlife tours in Albania. It is located on the eastern part of Albania covering a massive area of 3,300 hectares of land. The 200 year beech trees are the main attractions. This is considered as Tiarna's "natural balcony"
Butrint National Park: This is one of the famous national parks in Albania that has been declared by the UNESCO as the World Heritage Site. The park holds great tourist and archaeological values having a great number of monuments. The site is also robed in natural biodiversity. The 2500 hectare national property has plenty of opportunities for ecotourism in the Butrint Lake which can be used for fishing, water sports, boating and rafting.
Thethi National Park: Covering an area of 2,630 hectares of land and located 70 km from Shkodra. The park is based on the Tiver Thethi and has plenty of mountain trouts. The Grunas Waterfall is the crowd puller. The oak trees and several rare species of animals are found here.
Prespa National Park: Bordering Albania, Greece and Macedionia, this 27,750 hectares national Park contains lakes of Prespa e Madhe and Prespa e Vogel. This is an area holding great cultural value and has Eremite Byzantine Churches in the cave of Tren. Trajani's castle and St. Mary's Church are the main attractions.
Lura National Park: This National Park of Albania covers a mammoth 1,280 hectares of land and is located to the east of Lura's Crown. The most enticing aspect of the park is the 14 glacier lakes of Lura that remain frozen in winter. The park has a rich potential for ecotourism. It has a wide variety of colorful plants and the beautiful coniferous trees.
