The city of Tirana was built in 1114 and was founded by Suleiman Pasha. It is located at about 41.33 degrees north and 19.82 degrees east, in the eponymous district and county. The average latitude of the place is 295 feet above sea level. The capital at Tirana lies on the Ishm River about 20 miles inland. The entire city is about 2 million in population and the Tirana airport is about 25 miles from the city center. Whoever is visiting Tirana is required to have a visa and the nationals of countries like Great Britain, Canada and the US and the UK, all are entitled to have a visa. Only nationals of Greece are not required to have a visa.
