Touggourt, Algeria is one of the chief towns of the Wadi R'Hir region in the northeastern Algeria. It can be easily located in the Wadi Igharghar Valley and it is all the more special because of the sand dunes and chotts (salt lakes) that you will find to the north and south. There are also innumerable small hills to the west. Touggourt, Algeria is a typical Saharan town that has homes made of dried mud or clay-stone. There are the winding streets and the white archways are dazzling. There is also a massive fortress minaret.
