A tourist can walk around most of Andorra La Vella. The town consists of 2 parts. One part comprises the newer section at the North end of the town. It is very commercial with lots of shops. The other half is the older half. This part stretches down across the river and to the South and West. This part of the town makes the historic part of the place. It has quite a number of shops and places to eat.

Tourists who stay in either of these areas can easily cover the areas on foot. But walking from the end of one half to the other takes about half an hour or more. Those who cannot walk much can take the local bus. The bus fare in this city is cheap. However, you must carefully read the timetable and routes on the bus stop.

Those who plan to stay for a few days in Andorra La Vella can easily visit most of the main villages by availing the local bus service.

There are 8 main bus lines also known as “linies” and these entire pass through Andorra La Vella. The fare varies anything from about a euro to two or three euros. The fare depends on where you are going. For the towns close to Andorra La Vella, the service is very regular. The service in fact is as frequent as every 30 minutes during the day. But the services for outlying places are not that regular. These places include El Serrat, Arinsal and El Pas del la Casa. There are only 2 or 3 buses per day to these places. It is advised that one checks the timetable.
