On weekend nights, the venue is transformed into a popular nightspot for the moneyed locals to dance the Kizomba. The drinks here are expensive but you get a good choice.
Palos
The nightclub, Palos, is set on the outdoors garden courtyard complete with a menagerie of animal sculptures that surrounds the dance floor. There is even a mezzanine upstairs which overlooks the ground below. Disco music is played here. Most of its regulars are Portuguese-speaking people from Portugal, Brazil and even Cabo Verde. Palos sometimes hosts private parties also. One has to buy a cartão (voucher card) in order to get inside, you can use this card to purchase drinks also.
Zanzibar
This bar is located inside an Old Portuguese colonial building. It is a spacious bar with an extensive collection of spirits. The patrons here are mostly men who come here mainly for a drink and to meet local women. Loud hip hop music is mainly played here.
