Although Angola is situated in the equatorial tropical region but the Weather in Angola is heavily influenced by altitude and sea. A rainy season from November through April is followed by a cold dry season lasting from May to October. Above 3300 feet both the temperature and rainfall decrease. The Weather in Angola along the plateau region remains pleasant and enjoyable. The average annual temperature at São Salvador do Congo is 22.2° C and at Caconda it is 19.5° C.

The far north and Cabinda region are wet due to excessive rainfall throughout the year. The Climate in Angola is more humid and cooler in the southern region with temperature oscillating between 23° C to 30° C from July to August. The national capital Luanda, located on the coast, experience considerably lesser rainfall than that of adjoining areas. Temperature varies from 25° to 30° C in Luanda during summer lasting from October to May. In the winter from June to September temperature even drops to 18°. The Weather in Angola is influenced by the prevailing Western and South Western winds to a great extent causing heaviest rainfall accompanied by violent storms in April.
