People from other nationalities planning to work or conduct business in Australia will require an Australian Work Visa. This visa is given to a traveler for the following purposes- working in any firm or company of Australia, coming for any business purpose, finding work in Australia or for other work related activities in Australia.
There are two kinds of Australian Work Visa offered to travelers.
- Short-Stay Business Visa
- Long-Validity Business Visa or Long-Stay Business Visa
The short stay visa allows people to visit the country for business purposes for a period of 3 months. This visa is issued to people for coming to country for business activities like attending conferences, negotiations or for probing business ventures. The visa is not allowed to actors or music performers. People who are into commercial film making are not entitled to get this type of visa.
The Australian Long-Validity Business Visa allows people to stay in the country for business activities for a period of 90 days. The duration is similar to the short stay visa but the persons are allowed multiple entry. For getting the Australian Work Visa, travelers will have to fulfill certain visa requirements.
A valid passport is an essential requirement for acquiring a work visa. The traveler's passport should have minimum 6 months validity from the day of arrival in Australia for which visa has been applied for. If validity of the passport ceases before the return date then the visa will be cancelled. Passport should be renewed before applying for a visa. This is applicable to travelers belonging to any country.
Some more requirements for Australian Work Visa:
- 1 visa application form is required from the country's embassy. The form should be completed and signed by the person who is going for business purposes to Australia.
- 2-passport size photograph. A recent photograph is preferred.
- Copy of the travel tickets is produced with the visa application form. Onward and return journey tickets should be furnished.
- Copy of the letter of invitation from the company with whom business is going to be conducted.
- A copy of the official letter from the company or person mentioning the purpose of sending in Australia. The letter should also mention about the financial expenses of the persons.
