However, in the latter years, it was again passed on to the hands of Anna followed by Klara Demel. In 1972 and 1993, the business was in the hands of Udo Proksch and Gunter Wichmann respectively.
Emperor Franz Joseph used to order for cakes, candies and other sweet treats from Demel. The waitresses serving here are refereed to as “Demelinerinnen”. They put on black attire with collars made of lace. Even today they address the guests in a very formal manner.
