The idea was however put into action by Karl Kucher who was a popular Villacher businessman and member of the Alpine Association. The Villacher Alpe was inaugurated on 1st July 1973 and is well preserved till today. The association that takes care of this Villacher Alpe aims at conserving and preserving the goodness of nature.

The most notable feature of the Villacher Alpe is a small Zirbenbestand, which is located on a small hill and you will find Drava Glaciers surrounding the area. You will also find several different type of flowers and other vegetation.
