This historic church, the cathedral of St. Joseph was formerly affiliated with the Bernardine monastery. The fortified church of Sts. Peter and Paul, complete with its flanking twin towers, was originally built in the 1620s. The church dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene is the largest one built during the Russian imperial era in this region and one of the places of interest.
Red Church, one of the Minsk Tourist Attractions, was built at the beginning of 20th century. The church was built with the support of Edward Vojnilovich, one of the prominent noblemen of Belarus. The church was named in memory of his children Simeon and Elena who died at an early age. One of the prestigious symbols of the capital, this church is known for its Neo-Gothic style and red brick structure. It is interesting to note that the Union of cinematographers of Belarus was placed here during the Soviet era. After the church was returned to the believers, it was restored in its former glory immediately.
Next, you can visit the Village Museum, one of the Tourist Attractions in Minsk. It is the first and only private museum of ancient culture in the post-Soviet Union territory. Here, you can know about the ancient country life and handicrafts. The exhibits at the museum including buildings, tools, mechanisms and vehicles are undergoing reconstruction and renovation.
