The official language of the country is English. Other languages that are spoken by the people are Creole, Spanish, Garifuna, and Maya.

The climate of Belize is tropical to sub-tropical. It has a mean annual temperature of 79 F In winters the temperature is within 80’s and in summer it is within 90’s. The wet season lasts from June to Nov and the dry season extends from March to June. The rainfall in the country varies from 50" in the North to 170" in the South

The country is divided into 6 districts. The country has a stable democratic government lead by a Prime Minister. The country is a member of the Common Wealth of Nations and United Nations

The country is an agricultural based economy. The main produce includes sugar, bananas, citrus, corn, rice, cattle, fisheries, and logwood. But over the years tourism has played a prominent role in boosting the economy of the country. The currency in Belize is called a dollar. The exchange rate is $1US dollar is equal to $2 Belize dollars.

Telephones are readily available for making local and international calls. Paging and wireless phones are prevalent. Radio and television are well established. Computers are used by Government. Business in the country has adopted them for day to day transactions. Email is used as an alternative way to expensive international phone calls. Post Offices are available in major towns.
