The interesting town is located about 89 kilometers from Belize City and 50 kilometers from Corozal. Between these two cities, Orange Walk district is nestled which boasts of agricultural and business community. It is the second largest district in the country. There are many places of attraction placed in the town which can be visited by opting for any of the sightseeing tours in Orange Walk.

The small town can be traveled around by walking and it is the best way to get around the downtown area. There are many markets and restaurants located in the downtown Orange Walk which should be explored by visitors.

The most prominent place of attraction is Lamanai, where travelers can see various Mayan ruins. Lamanai is a great place to travel from the town and it is a fun trip for visitors. They can get to the place within one and half hour from Orange Walk by riding a boat. The safari styled journey along a forested river involves lot of fun and while the scenic journey tourists can see various animals and birds like herons, kingfishers, vultures, turtles and crocodiles. The remote Lamanai is nestled in the New River Lagoon and boasts of several original Mayan ruins. There are temples, monuments and other places and ruins which offer unlimited fun and excitement.

Honey Camp Lagoon is another great place of attraction which features palm fringed beach which is an ideal place for enjoying water sports. The place is almost 20 minutes drive from the city of Orange Walk. Tourists can enjoy swimming and stroll around the beach.

Cuello is a small site located at 5 kilometers from the town. It is an ancient site featuring Mayan ruins surrounded by temples and other ceremonial structures. Noh Mul is the largest Mayan structure in Orange Walk district.
