The airport of Paro has one runway and serves a single airline. There is four passenger and one cargo terminal and 2 aircraft stands. There are also 4 check-in desks and one gate in the Paro International Airport.
Druk Air the national airline of Bhutan operates scheduled services to five cities in neighboring countries. By a Royal Proclamation on 5 April 1981, the airline was established. Commercial operations started on 14 January 1983 using an 18 seat Dornier 228-200. The first commercial flight with an Airbus A319 took place on 31 October 2004. The Druk Air is completely owned by the Royal Government of Bhutan.
