You can see some of the rare Buddhist paintings and the sculptors at the National Art School. You can also go for tours to National Library Jungshi Paper Factory and the Royal Academy of Performing Arts.

For some exquisite Bhutanese breads and pastries visit the Swiss Bakery. You can visit the biggest market in Thimphu in the weekend. You will get everything from the fresh fruits and vegetable and also the local products of India, Nepal and Bhutan at this market. The Thimphu Domche Festival takes place in September and continues for five days.

Thimphu is well connected to all the major cities of the world by air. You can get rental cars and public buses for getting around the city too. There are quite a number of hotels, bars and restaurants in Thimphu too.
