You can travel by bus either from Kolkata or from Siliguri to reach this place.
From Kolkata: There is a direct bus from Kolkata to Phuentsholing. This is run by The Bhutan Government. The buses leave from Esplanade Bus Station at 7 PM every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. To return to Kolkata, you will have to board the bus from Phuentsholing office of Bhutan Post. This bus leaves at 3 PM every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
From Siliguri: There are two routes, one via Sevak Bridge, the other passes Alipur and Hasimara. The buses that are run by The Bhutan Government, depart from Siliguri Bus Station. These buses leave daily at 7.30 AM and 1.30 PM.
Train
New Coochibihar in West Bengal, India is the nearest railway station. Once you reach this station, you can take a bus to Phuentsholing. This is approximately a 3-hour bus journey.
