One of the most important Sao Paulo Tourist Attractions includes the most celebrated Parque do Ibirapuera, Sao Paulo. Since its inception on 21st August, 1954, this park has been counted as one of the major places of interest. The Ibirapuera Park draws millions of visitors from all over the world every year. This park was inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of the celebration of the fourth centenary of the Sao Paulo city. Like the Memorial da America Latina, Sao Paulo, Parque do Ibirapuera, Sao Paulo was also designed by the renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer. Along with this architect, this park involved the creative mind of the landscape designer Burle Marx.

The name Ibirapuera in Tupi language means a place where there were trees. You can site this park at the Avenida Pedro Alvares Cabrel. There are three artificial lakes in the park that add to the beauty of the lake. It is to be noted that during the inauguration of the park in August, about six hundred and forty stands gathered from thirteen states and nineteen different countries.

Parque do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo is the Central Park of the city of Sao Paulo. This huge park covers an area of almost two million meters and is a must visit destination for visitors from all over the world. At this park, you will come across both the Modern Art and Contemporary Art museums. The Palace of Nations that showcases the Museum Afro Brazil is also located inside the park. There is a huge auditorium that arranges for various functions and other social events. This amazing auditorium was opened in the years of 2005.
