Bandar Seri Begawan or BSB is also known as Bandar and is the capital of Brunei. The place can be reached by plane or by road. Regular flights from Brunei international airport help tourists to get to the place. There is also a taxi service which takes about 20 minutes to reach tourists to the place. All the major roads in Brunei lead to Bandar Seri Begawan. Besides these tourists can also roam around the place by buses (the place has a big bus terminal), boats and “water taxis” which can be hired from the docks.

Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque: Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque is one of the most ancient mosques in Bandar. The mosque is usually open to public when it is not being used for prayers. Once the tourists enter the mosque, a robe is given to them. Then they are told to remove their shoes before entering the mosque. The visitors and tourists are told be remain quiet inside the mosque as there may be some people praying inside the mosque. The mosque also has some masjids surrounding it which should be visited.
Kampong Ayer (the water village): The place is visited by the taxi boats. The sight of this place is very attractive as thousands of houses are seen to be floating on water. The people of this village are very hospitable and friendly and many of them open up their homes to the visitors all the year round. The taxis can be hired from the port of Bandar or by walking along the Brunei River. The tourists should always try to negotiate the prices as the drivers may charge extra. Those tourists who are not interested in hiring the taxi boats can themselves take a stroll around the village. They can start their visit from behind the Sultan’s mosque. The tourists should also visit the other side of the town of Batu Satu.
Royal Regalia museum: This museum is located very near to the city centre and displays gifts which were received by the Sultan from different provincial heads.
Brunei Museum on the Kota Batu : This museum is famous for its Art Gallery.
