The Royal Regalia museum, Bandar Seri Begawan is regarded as one of the most important tourist attractions in the city of Bander. Royal Regalia museum, Bandar Seri Begawan was built in the year 1992 to commemorate the silver jubilee of the accession of the present sultan. The museum has two types of items inside it. The items can be grouped as:
Royal articles and goods: This mainly consists of royal wardrobes, different kinds of dresses, costumes, jewelry which were used by the people from the royal family, and other expensive articles.
Exhibition from the Brunei constitution: Various articles, documents and scriptures belonging to Brunei constitution are displayed here.

The decorated interiors of the museum have added a new dimension to the museum. The main attraction of the museum is the royal regalia which consist of the clothes and costumes used by the royal family. It also deals with items which were used in the ceremonies during the sultan’s coronation in the year 1960.The museum also consists of the regalia which was worn by the Sultan during his 25th anniversary.
The Royal Regalia museum, Bandar Seri Begawan also contains many photographs of the royal family. It also exhibits many gifts which were received from other countries and other collections of art from different parts of Brunei. Many traditional costumes belonging to different periods can be found in the museum.
The museum also houses a huge collection of gold and silver ornaments, gold and silver armory, the royal chariot and the crowns.
The museum is open from Saturday to Thursday from 8:30 am in the morning to 5 pm in the evening. On Friday, it is open from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and again from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. A certain amount is charged for entering the museum.
The museum consists of a tall tower which is placed at the centre. The tourist can get a beautiful view of the surroundings from the top of the tower.
As far as photography is concerned, the tourists are allowed to take photographs only inside the main hall.
