Bangar

Bangar is one of the famous tourist destinations in Brunei and is located in the district of Temburong. Although it is not as big as Bandar Seri Begawan, Bangar is an important landmark in the economic scenario of the Sultanate of Brunei. Bangar, Brunei is known for the large number of quarries that are scattered around the town. It is known that boulders are not only collected but processed so that they can be transported from Bangar in Brunei to various parts of the Sultanate of Brunei including the capital city or Bandar Seri Begawan. Most of the boulders that are carried from Bangar in Brunei are used for the construction business. It is easier to go to Bangar from Bandar Seri Begawan by boat. It takes about 45 minutes to go to Bangar in a speedboat.

The other way to reach Bangar is by road and you have to take a bus through Malaysia as the district of Temburong is separated from other parts of Brunei by Sarawak. The holidayers will have to face no problem regarding immigration clearance as the checkpoint in Pandaruan helps the holidayers get a direct visa to Bangar. All the holidayers who are coming directly from Bandar Seri Begawan can check directly in the checkpoint in Pandaruan. However people who are coming from Lawas to Bangar will have to visa clearance in Trusan. As Bangar is comparatively smaller than the other cities in Brunei you can take a look around Bangar by walking.

One of the famous tourist destinations in Bangar is the Ulu Temburong National Park. It is situated in one of the remote areas of Brunei and is an integral part of “Batu Apoi Forest Reserve”. You have to take a boat to reach the park. Some of the major attractions in Ulu Temburong National Park include the Canopy Walkway which stands on the top of the tree and you can have a view of the jungle path from 50 m above the ground. You will have a sweeping view of the green around in the jungle. You will have the best view of the jungle from the top of the tree.
