Geography of Cambodia is wide and varied. You can locate the country of Cambodia in the South Eastern part of Asia. Cambodia shares boundary with the neighboring countries like Thailand in the north and east, Laos in the north east and Vietnam in the east and southeastern part. This tropical country lies in the co ordinates of 13°N 105°E. The country is some what square in shape. The landscape of the country is marked by rolling plains and rivers. Cambodia is marked by the presence of lacustrine plain. This dominant geographical feature is formed because of the inundation of the Great Lake or the Tonle Sap. The major river that flows across the country is the Mekong River. The landforms are marked by various basins, lowlands, delta region, mountain region and rolling plains. There are several drainage system in the country of Cambodia. The major rivers are the Tonle Sap and the Mekong River. Some of the major mountains in this region are Cardamom Mountains, Elephant Range, Dangrek Mountains and others.

The total rainfall is an average between 100 to 150 centimeters annually. The tropical wet and dry climate is typical of Cambodia. It has two seasons: the rainy season and dry season. The rainy season starts mainly from May and continues till October. The temperature rises to about 40°C during April and is characterized by high humidity. November to April is the dry season. The best time to visit Cambodia is between November to January, when the humidity level remains lower. Favorable Climate of Cambodia makes it easily accessible by the tourists.
