Sen Monorom Waterfall, Mondulkiri is one of the most beautiful scenic spot in Cambodia. The picturesque water fall is surrounded by lush green tropical vegetation. The waterfall located at Sen Monorum District is only 5 kilometers from the provincial town. Drive down the red soil trail to reach the Sen Monorom Waterfall, Mondulkiri. You can also travel from Phnom Penh or Kratie to the location of the water fall. It takes about 7 to 9 hours drive to reach there. The best time to visit the place is February.
Mondulkiri is a small-town in the eastern region of Cambodia. The town is surrounded by green hills, small villages, and some beautiful waterfalls The Sen Monorom Waterfall is one such beautiful attracton of the place. Sen Monorom Waterfall in Mondulkiri is a meeting place for the local people during the national festivals and holidays. Its proximity to the provincial town makes it an ideal day trip for the local residents. While you drive down the soil trail, enjoy the sceneries of Cambodian countryside. Along either sides of the road, you will see industrial plantations like rubber, coffee and cashew trees are lined up.
The picturesque Mondulkiri Sen Monorom Waterfall has three stages. At the first stage the waterfall has slow speed and is only a meter high with 2 to 4 meters diameter.
At the second stage, Sen Monorom Waterfall, Mondulkiri gets more height. During the rainy season, the water flows at a high speed. The waterfall reaches a height of 6 to 7 meters and 8 meter
diameter. While during the dry season the waterfall has 7 to 9 meter height and about 4 to 5 meter diameter. The surrounding area of the waterfall is ideal for picnic, resting and enjoying.
Third stage of Sen Monorom Waterfall, Mondulkiri is locates at one-kilometer distance from the second stage. Here the waterfall has only 1.5-meter height and the place is rarely visited by the tourists.
The location of the waterfall is perfect for adventure sports like trekking, hiking, and biking. You can hire a bike from the hotels located nearby. These hotels are also nice accommodation options for the tourists. Also visit the minority villages near Sen Monorom Waterfall, Mondulkiri.
