The Benoue National Park, Ngaoundere is one of the top-most Tourist Attractions in Ngaoundere in Cameroon. The park is well-known for its wide range of wildlife and vegetation that is found there. Benoue National Park, Ngaoundere is located between the towns of Garoua in the north and Ngaoundere to the south.
A long stretch of the Benoue River is seen to be flowing along the eastern boundary of the Benoue National Park. The main road linking Garoua and the city of Ngaoundere makes up the western boundary of the park. The vegetation of the Park includes several types of Sudanian woodland, from very tall trees to shorter shrubs and herbs. About 306 species of birds can be found here. The Sudan-Guinea Savanna biome species include Streptopelia hypopyrrha, Cisticola dorsti, Drymocichla incana, Anthoscopus parvulus and Lanius gubernator. There are 5 species of woodpecker to be found in Benoue National Park.

You may also get to see a brown-rumped Bunting, West African Seedeater, Blue-bellied Roller, Swallow-tailed Bee-eater, Red-winged Pytilia and a Black-faced Fire finch. Among the other species of birds, watch for the Stone Partridge, white-throated Francolin, four-banded Sand grouse, Ovambo Sparrowhawk, White-fronted Black Chat and the scarce Rufous-rumped Lark.
