Cape Breton Island, Halifax:

Halifax Public Gardens, Halifax:
This is a famous park in Halifax. It was set up with the intention to enhance interest in botany and proper horticultural technique. Apart from this the society wanted to provide a delightful retreat for the people of the city. The other good thing about the park is the presence of a rich variety of bird life. This enhances the area's sublime setting. Statues of Ceres, Diana and Flora and six large stone vases around the bandstand can be found here. The park also has two fountains large fountains.

The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic:
This is the largest Maritime Museum in Canada. The museum has a large collection of artifacts, images, charts and plans relating to the marine history of Nova Scotia. Nova Scotia small craft and local shipwrecks which represent the period 1850 to the present are also included. Sextants, binnacles and figureheads, anchors, armaments, marine portraits and the 1913 hydrographic vessel are on display.

Province House, Halifax:
This Georgian-style building is the Legislative Assembly or the seat of democracy in Nova Scotia. It was home to Canada's oldest provincial legislature and of the first overseas self-government of Britain.

McNabs Island, Halifax:
This is the largest island in Halifax Harbor. It consists of many forts namely the Fort Ives, Fort Hugonins, Sherbrooke Tower, and Fort McNab.
