An arm-shaped peninsula, Cape Cod, forms the easternmost portion of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, in the Northeastern United States. Surrounded by the waters of Buzzard's Bay to the west, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, Nantucket and Vineyard sounds to the south, and Cape Cod Bay to the north, Cape Cod became a bridged island, with the completion of the Cape Cod Canal in 1914. It is a destination where beauty and solitude rests together delivering a constant source of inspiration for musicians, artists, actors, and writers.
