The Altos de Lircay National Reserve, Chile is a reserve known to be a protected area. It has a wide spanned area of about 16,684 hectares or about 36,704 acres and within this sprawling area there are beautiful natural attractions such as the Lircay River or the Los Coigües Gorge, or archaeological sites of interest such as La Piedra los Platos. The best season to visit this reserve is during autumn and spring, when there are not many visitors. The reserve does not have picnicking or camping facilities, although it is still possible to camp. Bringing pets, however, is not allowed. Fires are also prohibited.

Rainfall measures to about 1550 to about 2000 millimeters on an average per year. The winters also see heavy snowfall and these can measure up to 60 cm to 8 cm on an average.
