La Chascona:

La Chascona is the residence of the famous Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, the Nobel Laureate for his insightful poetry. A spectacular edifice, the home has its own unique style. A major part of the house was designed by the poet himself. Situated in the foothills of San Cristóbal Hill, the building was built in 1955 by the poet and his wife, Matilde.

One of the most frequented tourist attractions in Santiago; you will be simply amazed to see the library. Stocked with a vast collection of books, the library is a storehouse of paintings and other objects that are a part of Neruda’s collection. The place is currently the headquarters of the Pablo Neruda Foundation. You can visit the place daily from 10:30am-1pm and 5pm-7pm.

Parque Forestal:

During the canalization of the Mapocho River in 1891, the ground for the Parque Forestal was acquired. The local administrator Enrique Cousino began the construction of the Forestal Park in 1900. You will find a number of monuments, sculptures, and species of trees that draws a number of nature enthusiasts. It is a favored locale for most of the people of Santiago who want to take a weekly stroll.

Cerro Santa Luc a:

The undulating terrains of the Cerro Santa Luc a were originally called Huelen that mean damned in Mapuche language. Renamed by conquistador Pedro de Valdivia, founder of Santiago in 1541, it is one of the must see in the city. You can enjoy the scenic beauty from mirador or panoramic point that also acts as the stage for theatre plays and concerts.
