    • San Felix: It is situated in the valley of the river El Carmen in Huasco. It is about 25km south of the town of Alto del Carmen. San Félix, Vallenar used to be known as Valle de los Espanoles or the Valley of the Spanish, due to the immense domination of the Spanish settlement.
    • Santa Juana Reservoir: It is located at a distance of about 20 km to the east of Vallenar is an artificial lake. The reservoir is about 10 km long. The reservoir covers a surface area of 410 hectares.The capacity of the Reservoir is 160 million cubic meters. The reservoir supports the farming industry of the region to a great extent
    • The Museum Of Huasco: The Museum of the Huasco exhibits a display of a miniature of the city of Vallenar. It represents the beautiful beaches by the coast, the other areas of the interior are represented well, marking the sharp contrast between the usual aridness of the zone together with the lush greenery of the Huasca valley. It is located at Nº 742 called Sargento Aldea. The museum contains archeological and mineralogical exhibits, together with historical photographs of the zone. The most important pieces of display consist of a snare dating from Colonial times. It was originally found in the river El Carmen. The museum also boasts of a collection of articles from the Incan culture. There are photographs of flowers found in the Huasco and a display of crustaceans and mollusks from the Huasco coastal area.
