This has been enlarged later on by the Ming and Qing dynasties. In this thatched cottage Du Fu composed more than 240 poems reflecting the misery of the people. Tourists can roam around the expansive park, including a bamboo garden, several pavilions, and a number of bridges. Do not miss out the poetic history halls displaying the exhibits that provide details of Du Fu's life and work. Wangjiang Tower Park, Chengdu: Built in 1889 this is located on the south bank of Jinjiang River in Chengdu and is a popular landmark. Wangjiang Tower is dedicated to a woman, Xue Tao, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. Wangjiang Tower Park is one of three famous cultural relics in Chengdu. The other two being Wuhou Memorial Temple and the Thatched Cottage of Du Fu . Wangjiang Tower Park with its elegant garden of bamboo is the finest in Chengdu.
