Guyi Yuan

Apart from being one of the most eminent cities in China, Shanghai forms an incredible tourist hub. Among the innumerable Shanghai tourist attractions, the Guyi Yuan, Shanghai is one of the most popular places which deserves special mention. The city is replete with museums, heritage sites, pagodas, parks and gardens. The Guyi Yuan, Shanghai is a favorite spot for all the tourists visiting from across the globe.

Guyi Yuan in Shanghai is the right place for the nature lovers. It features a plush sixteen acres natural garden in Nanxiang. Nanxiang is a small village area located at a distance of about eight kilometers to the north-western part of the city of Shanghai. This garden has undergone various changes and remodeling since 1746.

The Guyi Yuan in Shanghai in China offers a cool natural environment. The pristine surroundings are just apt for a pleasant walk. At present, the garden is adorned with several picturesque villas, pavilions and pagodas. The presence of gorgeous lakes and multi-colored flower plants and bushes add more to the charm and grace of the garden.

Tourists can get to view a dagoba within this exquisite garden in Shanghai in China. It dates back to the period of the Song Dynasty. The numerous pillars made of stone reflect the art and sculpture of the Tang Era. Several letterings from the Buddhist Sutra are engraved on those stone pillars.

Within the garden of Guyi Yuan, Shanghai is the Buque Ting Pavilion which resembles the shape of a rectangle. However, the north-eastern part of the ceiling is not there anymore. This pavilion was constructed in the year 1931 when the nation of Japan invaded Manchuria. The Chinese people are being reminded of this by the part of the roof which is missing at present.
