China or the People's Republic of China(PRC) is a country situated in eastern Asia. China is landscaped by mountains and plateaus. The climate of China is characterized by variations as we move from the northern part to the southern part of the country. China Climate is marked by high summer temperatures during the daytime reaching to 30 degree Celsius in the northern part of China. The winters in the northern China are bitterly cold with arctic weather conditions. The climate in the central part of China is temperate as well as continental. Here the summers are extremely hot while the winters are very cold. The climate in the southern part of China is subtropical.

China Weather shows variations as you travel from region to region due to the topography of China. China's Climate is characterized by wet monsoons and dry seasons which lead to the marked differences in the summer and winter temperatures. In summer southern winds blow from the sea regions situated at lower latitudes. These winds are warm and contain moisture. While in winter northern winds blow from high latitudes. These winds are dry as well as cold.

The southern part of the Nanling Mountains faces heavy rainfall and high temperatures throughout the year. The central part of China which consists of the Huaihe and Yangtze River valleys have four seasons.

As we move towards the northeastern part of China we will find the summers are short. While the winters are cold and last for a longer period of time.

Winters in the north of China start from December and last till March. In Beijing, which is situated towards the north of China, the night temperature falls to -20 degree Celsius. While in summer season during May-August the temperature soars to 38 degree Celsius. In the spring season north China faces temperatures ranging from 20 degree Celsius to 30 degree Celsius during the daytime.
