Xian Tourist Attractions- Xian City Walls
This is one of the major sightseeing places in Xian and was originally built by the Tang dynasty which was later enlarged by Zhu Yuanzhang the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty. This wall was constructed to fortify the city and to store abundant food supplies. The gateways were designed to keep the enemies out since the ancient weapons could not penetrate the walls. The wall had four gates- Changle, Anyuan, Anding and Yongning. Of all these gates Yongning was the most significant. It is the south gate located near the city center. In the south gate square various ceremonies were organized by the government.

Xian Tourist Attractions- Banpo Museum
It is located in the eastern part of the Xian city in Shaanxi Province. It is one of the major historical sites in China and was opened to public in 1958.

Xian Tourist Attractions- Dufu Temple
This is one of the popular tourist attractions in China which reflects the intricate architectural work of Tang dynasty. It was the family temple of a famous pet from the Tang dynasty named Dufu.

Xian Tourist Attractions -The Tomb of Concubine Yang
The Tomb of Concubine Yang is one of the popular attractions in Xian. The tomb is situated near the Xianyang city which was once the capital of China's first dynasty. The Tomb of Concubine Yang has a historical background and was built in the memory of Yang Guifei - the emperor's concubine.

Xian Tourist Attractions- The Terracotta Warriors
The ruins of the Teracotta Army were first discovered in the year 1974 by the local farmers while drilling a well in Mount Lishan. The accidental discoveries in 1974 drew the attention of the archeologists who started excavating the sites. It is considered to be one of the most significant archeological explorations of the 20th century.

Xian Tourist Attractions- Famen Temple
This temple was established during the regime of the Han Dynasty for promoting Buddhism. This is yet another popular attraction in Xian.
