A place which you should not miss on your trip to Atiu is the tour of the Ana Takitaki Cave. Wear strong footwear and go for 30 minutes walking in these caves. These limestone caves are the homes of the swiftlets, that built their nests deep in between the stalactites.

Even if you are not much interested in fishing, then also you should go at least for once for the fishing trip. There are various catamarans available here which would take you for deep sea fishing.

An important attraction of Atiu is the kava drinking ceremony. During the ceremony, all the people gathered in a pub surround a barrel which earlier used to be made with coconut wood but nowadays is made with plastic. The barman serves the drink to each of them in a coconut shell.
