Botanical Gardens, Guayaquil: Floral Exhibits

The Botanical Gardens offers 3 kinds of exhibitions. The first section of the Botanical Gardens extends to a length of 150 meters from the entrance to the auditorium. This section has a rich collection of orchids, tilandsias, bromelias, fruit trees and 60 different types of timber yielding trees. Here you can enjoy walking along the shady pathways and enjoy the beauty of nature. The common name as well as the name of the species is mentioned on each tree.

The Second section of the Botanical Gardens stretches from the Auditorium till the Mirador. This region is home to corn, cocoa, sugarcane, coffee plantations. It is also home to 40 various species of timber yielding trees as well as fruit trees. The second section is encircled by bougainvilleas, pine trees, tropical plants and bonsai.

The third section extends from the Mirador to the exit of the gardens. Here you will get to see various species of plants belonging to the Cactus family. Beehives are found here.

Botanical Gardens, Guayaquil: Facilities

The Botanical Gardens offers an auditorium, gift shop and a coffee place. The auditorium can hold 200 people. It serves as a venue to host special events. The Mirador is located atop a hill. It is a coffee shop built in the form of a hut. It offers natural drinks, souvenirs and books.
