The Temple of Kalabsha, Aswan is a temple which has been disassembled and again reconstructed on a hill close to the high dam location on the Western Bank near Lake Nasser. This was done to save this temple from going under water during the construction of a dam on the river Nile. Due to this reason the temple was shifted to another location at New Kalabsha which is situated south of the Aswan Dam. The Temple of Kalabsha, Aswan was taken to its present location by the help of the German Federal Republic and the sponsorship by UNESCO during 1960s.
