The weather of Eritrea along the Red Sea coast is quite hot. It experiences a condition similar to the type prevailing in the desert. The condition from June to August is extremely hot with the temperature reaching 1050F. The region remains dry for most part of the year. Occasional rains bring down the temperature to relive the land that burns during the summer months making it quite difficult for travelers. Southern coast gets rain on rare occasion but the northern coast experiences a rainy season from December to February.
Weather in Eritrea in Western Lowlands:
The western lowlands experience a dry and desert type of weather condition. Days during the summer that prevails from April to June are extremely hot with the mercury touching the 1050F mark. December, which is the coolest month, is extremely cold. The temperature dips to 550F. The daily range of temperature in the region is quite high.
