The most popular Music in France is the traditional folk music. The Central France is famous for French bagpipe tradition and the iconic hurdy gurdy. The hurdy gurdy, is a hybrid music style of a violin and a piano accordion.

Basque, Corsica, Brittany are the most popular traditional types of music in France. The Basques displays an active music scene, Corsica is polyphonic singing whereas Brittany as an indo European connection.

Classical music such as French opera and Romanticism has also popularized the music in France all over the world. Many popular singers have come up from the region showing the love of people for the culture of the region. Some of the famous singers who have created their own name are Elvis Presley, Johnny Hallyday, Richard Anthony, and Claude François.
