The weather in Germany is quite varied like its history. Summers are extremely hot while the winters are extremely cold. The climate is unpredictable and sort of confused. The country has the main seasons spring, summer, autumn and winter. The weather of each season is extreme.
Spring starts in the month of April and goes on till May. Spring starts off rather haphazardly. It can be either really sunny or cold. The rain could be falling constantly rather reminding you of hundreds of showers constantly pouring. With the rain and cold the wind gets faster. Snowstorms or hailstorms could occur. Towards the start of May the countryside reminds you of a picture freshly painted in a child's colouring book. The air is fresh and the leaves are the most beautiful green. Daytime is longer during spring. Birds start coming out to sing. The locals normally set out on their bicycles to enjoy the experience.
Summers start in the month of June and continue till September. The heat is extreme for this region basically the summer is as hot as can be. Temperatures vary between 22°C to 30°C.Humidity is quite high inspite of the temperatures not being that high. Heat during this season is anticipated with light to heavy thunderstorms. Precipitation is highest during summer. Light clothing is ideal during this season.Autumn starts in October and follows on through November. October weather is still sunny and warm. The air around has a light breeze and shedding of leaves begins. The atmosphere is lazy. People take advantage of this feeling and you'll find the locals lounging in the street cafes having beer and enjoying the 'Altweibersommer' or Indian summer. November brings about a change. Daytime gets shorter. It becomes difficult to distinguish between daybreak and the onset of night. The weather is cool and the air is misty and foggy. People prefer to head indoors and enjoy the coziness of their homes.
Winters start in December and go on till March making it the lengthiest season. It can become extremely cold. Daytime temperatures average 0°C TO 5°C while nighttime temperatures can go much below zero. Snowfall occurs in the months of December, January and February. The winters are harsher in the eastern and southern sides of the country while the summers are warmer on the northern and western sides. The lakes and water sources of the region usually freeze during this time of year. An ideal setting for an ice skating rink. Winters of Germany is the ideal time to light the fireplace, put on the woollens and enjoy Christmas time with family and friends.Germany's weather is mostly temperate. Most part of the country lies somewhat closer to the equator but is much further from the sea.
