Shai Resource Reserve, Accra is also known as Shai Hill Resource Reserve. It is one of the best tourist attractions in Accra in Ghana. It is located in the Accra Plains, close to the Shai Traditional Dangme West District which is about 50 Kilometers north east of Accra. It is easily accessible from central Accra and is only an hour's drive from the city. On a tour to Shai Resource Reserve, Accra you can not only get a feel of the beautiful natural ambience but can also makes trips to the Obonu tem, Sayu Hills and Se Yo Caves in the Hioweyo. You can also stroll through the jungle trails to the caves and visit the spots where you could find the remains of the old Shai Settlement. If you are visiting the reserve in between March and May you can partake in the Dipo Festival.
There are also many facilities that you can avail while on a trip to Shai Resource Reserve, Accra. You can avail the four wheelers to certain extent to make the tour a comfortable one. However, there are no accommodation options within the premises of the reserve. You can put up at the various accommodation options in and around Tema.
