While you move towards the Monastery of Filerimos, Rhodes, you will find a number of remains of the edifices belonging to the ancient times. The Greek temple, the baptistery of the first Christian basilica and the chapel of St. George are some of the places that will draw your attention. The chapel of St. George is an underground structure constructed sometime in 15th century. Inside the chapel, you will find the remains of the faded wall paintings.

The other interesting attraction on the site of the Monastery of Filerimos, Rhodes is the Hexagonal Church of the Knights. This historic church is the abode of the painting on wooden panels featuring the Virgin of Filerimos, that is worshiped by both Roman Catholics and Greek Orthodox Christians. In close proximity to this church lies the remains of the Byzantine garrison. You can visit the Monastery of Filerimos, Rhodes from Tuesday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm and from Saturday to Monday from 8:30 am to 3 pm.
