Hong Kong Museum of History is one of the most popular museums in the region. The museum is well known for its beautiful displays. Located at Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui the Hong Kong Museum of History enjoys a premium location.

Hong Kong Museum of History has three branch museums namely Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence, Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum and Law Uk Folk Museum. The museum was open to public in July 1975 by the Urban Council.
Initially the museum was known as City Museum and Art Gallery but later the museum split for specific and specialized interests into the Hong Kong Museum of History and Hong Kong Museum of Art. Most displays are the same as they were in City Museum and Art Gallery's but with time the museum has also added new exhibits on natural history, archaeology, ethnography and local history.
Hong Kong Museum of History is managed, maintained and developed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong Government.
