Crime Museum, Budapest boasts of a huge collection of police uniforms, badges and other items from the world of the Hungarian law enforcement. You will find here on display photos and other material forms of evidence from some of the most notorious Hungarian crimes of the past.

The American Federal Bureau of Investigation has contributed a permanent exhibit to the Crime Museum in Budapest. This is an act as part of an effort for FBI’s cooperation with the Hungarian Government. This is the first FBI-related exhibition to be staged outside the US. The exhibit traces the history of the FBI to the contemporary age. You can learn about the history of the FBI since the formation of the original Bureau of Investigation in 1909 and the establishment of the modern FBI in 1935. The exhibition includes photographs of past FBI investigations and focuses the most famous cases it has solved in the United States.

The exhibit records the areas which fall within its jurisdiction, depicts the investigation techniques used by the agency. You will also know here about international organized crime. There are specimens of the types of body armor and clothing worn by FBI agents in the field, on display. Also, there is a board behind which you can stand and take a "wanted" photo of yourself.

Crime Museum, Budapest is open on Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. Arriving at the site of the museum will be more convenient for you if you happen to travel from the vicinity of Keleti pu or the Eastern Station. Admission for entry to the museum is free of cost.
