With more than 220 active volcanoes in Indonesia and 17000 islands, Indonesia presents a topography that has water on one side and the mountainous landform on the other. Mount Kelud located at a height of 5,679 feet close to Kedri is located in the eastern Java. It has a large crater lake that bursts out water to flood the village and help the soil gain fertility to be made useful for agriculture.

Krakatau Located in the Rakata Island is one of the best of the Volcanoes in Indonesia. This is an important attraction for tourists in Indonesia. It lies in the area of high seismic activity. It is ideally suited for a trekking expedition and trekkers on reaching the top can feel the warm air emitted from the crater which is an indication that it is still active.

Besides all these, there are plenty of other volcanoes that are active and less threatening. But the ones that invite tourists to its track with a rich bio reserves are the Mount Agung, Kerinci, Gede, Pangrango, Semeru, Bromo, Rinjani, Merapi.
