Gowharshad Mosque, Mashad- This is a famous Mosque in Mashad. The 50 meter high faience dome and cavernous golden portal is located to the south of the holy shrine of Imam Reza square. Architecturally the Mosque is even more important than the mausoleum. The Mosque covers an area of 9419 square meters, and has two beautiful minarets each 40 meters high.
The Nader Shah Mausoleum, Mashad- This Mausoleum located in Shohada Street is dedicated to the legendary emperor of Iran, Nadir Shah. Set up in the year 1959, the mausoleum has a colossal bronze group representing soldiers led to battle by a commander on horseback. It is about 5 meters high and weighs 14,000 kilograms. The commander bearing a turban and a large ax represents Nader Shah.
Bazaar-e Reza, Mashad- This 800 meters long and 30 meters wide market is one of the main shopping centers in the town. The bazaar is known for the crafts of Khorasan. All kinds of local souvenirs such as fur-cloak, turquoise, carnelian ring, gold, perfume, saffron, pelisse, prayer-mat, and rosary may be found in this bazaar.
