The Saad-Abbad Palace & Park in Tehran spreads over an area of 110 acres. The Pahlavi dynasty of Iran built this palace. History has it that the palace served as the residence of the Qajar monarchs during the19 th century. In the course of time 18 palaces were constructed in this palace complex. Reza Shah lived in the palace during the 1920s. While in the 1970s his son named Mohammas Reza Pahlavi started living there. However, after the Islamic Revolution, 7 of the 18 palaces became museums.

The rooms house beautiful chandeliers, 4 mural paintings and valuable chinaware.

The Green Palace in Tehran was built over six years from 1922 to 1928 by Jafar Kashani during the Reza Shah period. It was the first palace to be built in the Sadabad Palace Complex. The palace is built with 3 stones namely the Isfahan green stone, Italian stone and Khamseh Zanjan. The columns of the palace is built with Italian stone. The attractions of the palace are Reza Shah Working Room, Waiting Room, Reza Shah Dining Room, Living room and Ceremony Hall.
