Transportation in Galway includes reaching the city by flights or enjoying a bus ride or catching a train to Galway in Ireland. Galway Transportation consists of the airways. The Galway airport is located in Carnmore, approximately 6 kilometers from the Galway city near Oran more. The short drive to the city center is well signposted for the convenience of the first-time visitors. On exiting the airport, turn left and at the first roundabout, you need to take the 3rd exit road. From there, follow the signposts properly through a series of roundabouts to the city center.
The Airport in Galway offers connections to many of the major British Airports, including Luton and Manchester. There are direct daily flights operating to and from Dublin and London or Luton. There is also a service to Lorient. The Galway airport is just a 10 minutes drive from the city center by a taxi.

- Galway Travel can also be done by a car. If you are driving your own car or have hired one, follow the major road to Galway, that is N6 that is the major road from Dublin. The drive from Dublin to Galway is 140 miles and will take about 3 hours time. The N6 goes through Maynooth, Enfield, Kinnegad, Tyrrellspass, Moate, Athlone, Ballinasloe, Loughrea and Oran more.
- Galway Transportation also features the train service. The Ceannt Station in Galway City is just off Eyre Square in the center of the city of Galway in Ireland. Irish Rail or the Iarnrod Eireann runs a regular train service to Dublin stopping off at the major towns.
