This is a 203 hectare park and is located on the northern slopes of Musheramore Mountain at an elevation of 612 feet above sea-level. The park is only 6 kilometers from the Millstreet town. This park is sure to take you on a holistic odyssey or on the laps of nature.

There are a number of spots inside the park that are worth-mentioning. These are:

  • Gardens: There are four major gardens inside the park. In the Rose Garden you can see Hybrid Musk Roses and also other perennial plants namely Anemone hybida cultivars, Agapanthus, Sidalcea, Echinops, Hemerocallis, Nepeta and Geraniums. Here you will also find the Band Stand where local bands and Musical groups perform on Sunday afternoons. In the Bee Garden you can see bee hives and numerous bees collecting nectar from willows, clover, heathers and other wild flowers.The Sensory Garden boasts of some colorful and aromatic flowers and plants. You will be amazed to know that there are 94 scented varieties. In the Tertiary Garden which covers the lower arboretum area you can see some rare plant species.

  • Lakes: The lakes reflect the cultural heritage and serenity of the Millstreet Park. As you take a stroll along the lakesides you can enjoy the landscape and the spirit of this place. Here you can see some magnificent waterfalls, stone and wooden bridges. The area also features the artificially built Crannog Island.

  • Archaeological Sites: The Park also features archaeological sites such as Stone Circle Complex. Here you can see stone alignments dating from the Bronze Age. Others are Remnants of the Ice Age, Shepherd's Hut, Fullaght Fiadh and Hedge School Site.

  • Historical Trails: Among the historical trails mention may be made of Famous People Trail, The Easter Rising Trail and War of Independence Trail.

Tourists can also have a glimpse of a number of common and rare birds such as Meadow Pipet, Skylark, Dipper, Kestrels, Merlins, Raven and the Sparrow Hawk. Mention may be made of some aquatic birds namely Heron, The Moorhen, The Dipper, The Gray Wagtail, The Kingfisher and Mallard.
