Central Carmel, Haifa is one of the most exclusive districts in the Israeli city. The district of Central Carmel, Haifa is not very far from the Old Techinion, one of the major landmarks of the city. A short uphill walk from the Old Techinion will lead the travelers to Central Carmel, which is also the highest district of the city.

While at the Mothers Garden, one can also visit the Schtekelis Museum of Pre-History which features cave exhibits from prehistoric times. The Garden precinct also boasts of the Museum of Stuffed Animals and the Museum of Pre-History. One must take notice of the functioning hours which is dependent on the months. Following are the opening hours: April to June: Sundays to Thursdays the functioning hours are from 8.00 to 13.00 hours / 08:00 to 17.00 hours. On Shabbat the garden is open from 09.00 to 16.00 hours. In July and August: Sundays to Thursdays from 8.00 to 18.00 hours. In winter season: Sundays to Thursday until 16.00 hours.

The Central Carmel, Haifa also houses one of the must-visit tourist destinations in Haifa, the Carmel Park or Natural Reserve. Rated as the largest national park in Israel, the Natural Reserve is a haven for picnickers who can enjoy biking in the wooded terrains of the Park.

Apart from the tourist destinations, Central Carmel is also known for its exclusive residential neighborhood districts which are home to few of the most famous names of Israel.
