The Air Show




The Air Show, Kenya is an attraction for all the travelers coming on tours to this country. This is a yearly event, which has been known as the "fastest growing Air show in Africa." The Aero Club of East Africa mainly coordinates this show. The Air Show, Kenya is actually portrayal of aircrafts that move on throughout the day with foreign participants joining in. Landrover Hawker Hunter -

This car is attractive for its 40 year old design. It surpasses the speed of sound and travels at a speed of 1,200 km per hour at the sea level. It can go up to the 40,000 feet navigating level of a Jumbo Jet in just 6.6 minutes.

F- 5E 'TIGER' -

This aircraft is better known as the "Freedom Fighter." This is America's and the world's booming export fighter aircraft. There are more than 1000 aircrafts serving in the Middle East, Europe, South East Asia and Africa. The aircraft boasts of a very high speed. The height of this ceiling is around 50,000 feet. Two General Electric turbo jet engines power this aircraft.


Pilatus PC 12 -

This aircraft has special niche for itself in The Air Show, Kenya. Made in Switzerland, this aircraft is a big and single engine turboprop aircraft. The complete gamut of Pilatus is famous for its Swiss engineering. They are made from several years of testing and modification to make sure the range, speed, economy and more over safety and comfort. The performance of the aircraft is striking with several models flying to an elevation of 30,000 feet.

Whisper Class -

The de Havilland DASH 7 is an indispensable part of The Air Show, Kenya. This aircraft is used to carry the travelers from one place to other, which was very essential to Kenya's financial system. This aircraft has a maximum take-off weight of 20 tons, which has the ability of carrying more than 48 passengers at a time. It is powered by four Pratt & Whitney turbo prop engines.

Other than these displays of aircrafts at The Air Show, Kenya, you can also see the Smirnoff Aerobatic and Skydiving Teams here. The colorful show by these two teams mainly increases the grace of this event. The spectacular and vibrant demonstration of their parachutes, decorated with the SMIRNOFF LOGO, is one of the main attractions of this event.
