The Lake of Letsie is located at approximately 2400 meters above the sea level at the heart of the Southern Drakensberg. Letsie Lake, Quthing is best reached via the main road from Moyeni to Mphaki. Apart from the lake, there are several other places of interest. You can plan for an excursion to the Maphooaneng Pass. Follow the gravel road as it winds its way through the Quthing Valley. This journey requires a 4×4 or difflock and is not suitable for a normal two wheel drive. You can also hike to view the spectacular Majoana Mabeli Waterfall as it plunges into the Quthing River Gorge.
